In our article we have identified how important it is to have friends who make the right decisions, and therefore have a positive influence on our behaviours.
In adolescence, lots of teenagers go against their parents' wishes (rebel) because they are trying to find their individuality.
Even though it is easy for parents to blame their children’s bad behaviour on peers and assume that other kids influence their kids into doing things like smoking, drinking or cheating, the decisions ultimately lie with the teen wanting to imitate their peers' behaviour.
